When a small Verdelho crop left us needing a substitute, we knew we couldn’t let our loyal Espudelho fans down. So, we embraced the challenge with creativity and a touch of humor, crafting a unique blend using Semillon in place of Verdelho. The result? Imposteur—a wine that’s as delicious as it is cleverly named.
This wine pours a beautiful pale lime-straw hue, hinting at the bright flavors within. On the nose, you’ll find an elegant bouquet of fresh limes mingling with subtle notes of talcum powder, offering a refined and refreshing aromatic experience.
The palate is equally captivating, with vibrant citrus flavors taking center stage. Rounded and medium in weight, it delivers a generous fruit profile that strikes a perfect balance between zesty freshness and smooth complexity.

Due to a small Verdelho crop we needed something to keep our Espudelho fans happy. Excepting the fact that we were having to substitute Semillon for our Verdelho we decided to have some fun with the name. So may we introduce the Imposteur!
Pale lime/straw colour. Limes and talcum powder nose, elegant. Rounded citrus palate, medium weight with generous fruit.
