Made using the same process you’d follow for Port — but without fortification — it sits confidently in its own category. Not Port, and not pretending to be, which is exactly how it earned its name.
By choosing not to fortify, Starboard remains naturally lower in alcohol, while still delivering richness, balance and depth — very much in step with the way wine drinkers are leaning today.
The nose shows ripe cherry and briar fruits with subtle earthy notes. On the palate, the wine is generous and well weighted, offering ripe red fruit flavours layered with gentle spice. Soft tannins and freshness keep everything in balance, leading to a smooth, comforting finish.
A thoughtful alternative to fortified styles, Chambourcin Starboard is ideal for slow sipping, cooler evenings, or pairing with dark chocolate and aged cheeses.
